Tour Itinerary
DAY1: CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Meet your Micasa Tours representative at Cape Town International Airport at the Airlines check-in counter and check into your flight to Medjugorje.
Overnight on board your flight.
DAY 2: ARRIVE IN SARAJEVO AIRPORT – MEDJUGORJE
Arrive at Sarajevo Airport and transfer to the hotel in Medjugorje.
The guide will explain the history of Medjugorje starting with the visionaries and will present the religious activities available every day.
Lunch on own account.

DAY 3: MEDJUGORJE
Breakfast before your day starts.
Today and following days are dedicated to the various options of devotion with half day guide, such as: climbing of Podbrdo and of Mount Krizevac through the Stations of the Cross.
Possibility to participate to the spiritual experience of the Franciscans (Mass, Confession, Rosary, Adoration and spiritual talks).

DAY 5: MON WED FRI MEDJUGORJE DUBROVNIK PORT S.G ROTONDO

05h00, Coach transfer to Dubrovnik Port, to embark the ferry to Bari at 11h00.
19h00, Arrival in Bari port, transfer to San Giovanni Rotondo.
21h30, Arrival at the hotel in San Giovanni Rotondo.

DAY 6: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO MONTE SANT’ ANGELO
Breakfast before your day starts.
After breakfast, start of the day in the ancient Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and private Mass.
Guided visit then, seeing also the new Church and the convent where Fr. Pio spent a good part of his mission: especially the crucifix from which he received the stigmata in 1918. You will see the confessional where Padre Pio spent innumerable hours with a multitude of pilgrims, directing them on their journey towards God.

In the afternoon, transfer to Monte Sant’Angelo: free visit to Saint Michael’s Cave, dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. On the floor of the cave is the main altar, featuring a statue of the Archangel. Behind the altar there is a natural fountain, a basin filled with rainwater dripping from the ceiling. The water is said to be blessed and have miraculous healing properties.
Return to San Giovanni Rotondo

DAY 7: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO ASSISI
Breakfast before your day starts.
In the morning, depart to Assisi: meet the guide in Assisi and visit the tomb of St. Francis in the Basilica dedicated to the saint. Explore the quaint hilltop birthplace of St. Francis that still retains something of the atmosphere of the early 1200s, the period when the saint began his ministry.
Contained within the huge 13th-century Basilica are many of the saint’s possessions and a series of frescoes by Giotto depicting his life. After a look at the ancient Roman temple, we go to the Basilica of St. Clare to see the saint’s incorrupt body.
The foundress of the Order of Poor Clares followed the teachings of St. Francis by living a life of poverty and humility.

After dinner, participation to the candlelight procession on the shrines’ esplanade.

DAY 8: ASSISI – ROME – ANCIENT ROME – TWO BASILICAS
Breakfast before your day starts.
In the morning, guided visit by a local friar of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, built around the Porziuncola.
Private Mass.
Continue to Rome.
On arrival in Rome, meet the guide and panoramic tour of ancient Rome: visit St. John Lateran, the seat of the papal throne, the oldest and the first in the established order of the papal basilicas.
Then the Archbasilica of St. Mary Major, the largest church in Rome dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Lunch on own account, Transfer to the Religious House.

DAY 9: THE CATACOMBS – ST. PAUL BASILICA – ST. PETER’S BASILICA
Breakfast before your day starts.
In the morning, transfer to the Appian Way, the earliest road of Ancient Rome.
This road leads to the Domino Quo Vadis Chapel, the Baths of Caracalla, the Arch of Drusus, the Tomb of Cecilia Metella: we will visit the catacombs of St. Callixtus.
The morning concludes with a visit to the Basilica of St. Paul, outside the walls.

In the afternoon, continue to the Vatican for a guided visit to St. Peter’s square and basilica
Return to the Religious House.

DAY 10: PAPAL AUDIENCE – CLASSIC ROME

10h00, Early morning transfer to the Vatican, to attend Papal audience.
Time at leisure for lunch on own account.
In the afternoon, guided visit to the famous squares and fountains of Rome.
Return to the Religious House.

DAY 11: DEPARTURE – WARSAW AIRPORT – KRAKOW
Breakfast before your day starts.
Transfer to Rome Airport for your flight to Poland.
Arrive at Warsaw’s Airport, meet your tour escort and continuation to Krakow.

DAY 12: WARSAW – KRAKOW – LAGIEWNIKI
Breakfast before your day starts.
In early morning, depart to Krakow: stop in Łagiewniki, the Sanctuary is situated in buildings of monastery of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, which was founded in 1891.
In period between world wars in this Monastery lived and died Saint M. Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938), through Saint Faustina Lord Christ gave the message of the Divine Mercy to the Church and to the whole world. In 1943 Father J. Andrasz SI the Cracow confessor of Faustina blessed the first Divine Mercy Image painted by A. Hyła, offered as ex-voto, thanksgiving to God for saving his family during war, and initiated solemn masses honoring the Divine Mercy.
The image quickly became well-know for many graces, the number of pilgrims has grown each year, considering also the pilgrims visiting the Sister Faustina’s tomb.
Free time in Lagiewniki, then departure for Cracow’s city centre and lunch on own account.
Visit of Krakow with Royal Castle Wawel (the visit of the cathedral and courtyard), the Market Place, The Clothmarket, Saint Mary’s church, Jagiellonian University, Florian’s Gate and Barbican.
Visit of Krakow Eucharist Miracle.

DAY 13: WADOWICE KALWARIA ZEBRZYDOWSKA CZESTOCHOWA KRAKOW
Breakfast before your day starts.
After breakfast drive to Wadowice.
En route visit Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, the monastery complex of the Bernadine Franciscans and see the picture of God with child, also called the Weeping Madonna.
Continue to Wadowice Karol Wojtyła’s hometown.
Visit Pope John II museum.in Wadowice ; The house where he used to live has been turned into a tiny museum. The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, where the Pope was baptized, stands right on the market square, the very same market square where, in a touching speech in 1999, the Pope recalled his hometown.

After lunch, continuation to Czestochowa Visit of Częstochowa shrine one of the most important places of Catholic cult in Poland.
Each year over four millions of pilgrims are visiting this place. In Jasna Gora monastery (lat. Mons Clara, eng. Luminous Mount) we can find the Black Madonna image which was as precious for Poles as they gave her the title of Queen of Poland.
Return to Krakow.

DAY 14: KRAKOW PRAGUE
Breakfast before your day starts.
Time at leisure before transfer by coach to Prague.

DAY 15: PRAGUE
Breakfast before your day starts.
Meet the guide at the reception and visit of Prague: Prague Castle with St. Vitus.
Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George‘s Basilica, Golden Lane), the Charles Bridge with its Museum, Loreto Shrine, the Church of Our Lady of Victory and the statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. Visit (from the outside) of many theatres and opera houses.
