Day 1: DURBAN THU, 06 JUL 2023
Meet at King Shaka International Airport at the Turkish Airlines check in counter for your flight to Tel Aviv via Istanbul. Please ensure that you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure.
Day 2: TEL AVIV FRI, 07 JUL 2023
Arrive in Istanbul and check in to your flight to Israel. Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, proceed through customs, collect your luggage and exit the terminal. Meet the guide and drive via the coast to the Roman Aqueduct. Visit the Carmelite Monastery Stella Maris and Muhraqa located on the spot where Elijah confronted the false priests of Ba’al. Visit the Bahai Shrine and finally depart to Nazareth. Arrive in Nazareth and check in to your accommodation. Mass time to be advised.

Day 3: TIBERIAS, CAPERNAUM, MT BEUTITUDES, YARDENT SAT, 08 JUL 2023
After breakfast, meet the guide and depart for a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. Stop on the shores of Capernaum where Peter lived and where Jesus began his public ministry (Matth. 4:13), there he began teaching in its Synagogue, healed a man who had the spirit of an unclean devil and healed a fever in Simon Peter’s mother-in-law (Luke 4:31-41). Visit Mount of the Beatitudes to gain a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee, where one of Jesus’ famous teaching episodes Sermon on the Mount was given (Matthew 5-7). Head to Tabgha the fruitful garden where Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish (Mark 6:30-46), admire see the magnificent mosaic commemorating the miracle of the multiplication.

Day 4: MT TABOR, CANA, BASILICA OF ANNUNCIATION SUN, 09 JUL 2023
After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and visit the Basilica of Annunciation in Nazareth as well as Mary’s Well and the Church of the Angel Gabriel. Proceed to Cana the site of the First Miracle, visit the Franciscan chapel for a renewal of wedding vows. Head to Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration (Matth. 17:1-8), ascend by means of a smaller motor vehicle due to its narrow route. Arrive in Bethlehem and check in to your accommodation.

Day 5: EIN KAREM, SHEPERD’S FIELDS, CHURCH OF NATIVITY MON, 10 JUL 2023
After breakfast, meet the guide and proceed to the hill country, to the city of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St John the Baptist. Visit the Church of Visitation where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited the home of Zachariah and Elizabeth, and proclaimed the ‘Magnificat’. Drive to the Shepherd’s Fields, where the angels announced the birth of Jesus, in the afternoon. Visit the Carmelite Monastery (Meriam of the Crucified). Then visit the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, kneel in the Grotto, the birth place of our Redeemer.

Day 6: MT OLIVES, PATER NOSTER, GETHSEMANE TUE, 11 JUL 2023
After breakfast start your day in Jerusalem at the Mount of Olives, from which Jesus ascended to heaven after His resurrection. See history through a majestic view over Jerusalem. Visit the Convent of Pater Noster with the Lord’s Prayer in displayed in 110 languages and the Ascension from where ascended to Heaven. Walk down the “Palm Sunday route” stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Visit Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed His last prayer before his arrest, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from Me”. Celebrate Mass in Gethsemane in the Basilica and then visit the cave of betrayal as well as the cave of Assumption of Mary to Heaven. End the day at St. Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Him thrice.

Day 7: QUARAN, DEAD SEA, MASADA, MT TEMPTATION WED, 12 JUL 2023
After Breakfast, drive to Bethany, visit Lazarus Tomb and celebrate Mass and then head to the Dead Sea for a swim, or rather a float, in the mineral-rich waters renowned for its minerals and healing properties. Drive to Jericho, the most ancient city in the world. Stop at the Sycamore Tree, which it is believed that Zacchaeus had climbed up as he wanted to catch a glimpse of this Wonderful Saviour. Then ascend via the cable car to Mt. Temptation where Jesus spent forty days and forty nights fasting and meditating during the temptation of Satan.

Day 8: VIA DOLOROSA, ST ANNE’S CHURCH, ISTANBUL THU, 13 JUL 2023
After breakfast, it is an inspiring, full day of meditation. In the early morning retrace the last steps of Jesus. Walk along the Fourteen Stations of the Via Dolorosa, praying the Stations of the Cross and reflect on the greatness of His sacrifice as He bore the burden of our sins on the Cross at Golgotha. Arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for Mass. Turn towards St. Stephen Gate to visit St. Anne’s Church, the home of the Virgin Mary and her parents Saints Joachim and Anne. Pass the Ecce Homo where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man. Finally, head to the Wailing Wall, the most holy shrine for Jews. In the evening head to the Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center to Visit the Exhibition of the Shroud of Turin.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Istanbul.
Arrive in Istanbul and enjoy a Bosphorus Cruise and thereafter transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: ISTANBUL, DURBAN FRI, 14 JUL 2023
After breakfast, meet the guide in the lobby and transfer to Old City where you will see; St Sophia’s Church, the Blue Mosque as well as the Hippodrome. Thereafter enjoy lunch at local restaurant. Enjoy some time at leisure for shopping at the Grand Bazaar. Enjoy dinner and thereafter transfer to the airport for your flight to Durban.
