Day 1: JOHANNESBURG TUE, 16 JUL 2024
Meet at O. R. Tambo International Airport at the check-in counter for your flight to Lisbon. Please ensure that you arrive at the airport at least 4 hours prior to departure time.

Day 2: LISBON, FATIMA, ST. ANTHONY CHURCH WED, 17 JUL 2024
Arrive in Lisbon, proceed through customs, collect your luggage and exit the terminal. Enjoy a city tour, visit some of the main highlights of the city, including St. Anthony church (Private mass, time permitting). Continue to the hotel in Fatima. Check in to your accommodation upon arrival.

Day 3: FATIMA, VALINHOS, ALJUSTREL THU, 18 JUL 2024
After breakfast, meet with the guide and depart by coach to visit Aljustrel, the homes where the three shepherds were born. Continue on to Valinhos; visit the Stations of the Cross and the Calvary, the site of Our Lady’s 4th apparition and the place where the children received the first and the third visit of the “Angel of Peace”. In the afternoon, guided visit of Fatima, including the Shrine with the Apparition Chapel, the Basilica where the graves of the visionaries can be seen and the new Church of the Trinity dedicated to St. John Paul II. H.
16H00: Visit to the permanent exhibition “Light and Peace”.

Day 4: FATIMA, MONASTERY OF BATALHA, SANTAREM FRI, 19 JUL 2024
After breakfast departure to the monastery of Batalha for a guided visit of this gothic Portuguese jewel. Continue to Nazare, an ancient fisherman’s place; ascent to the Sitio, a panoramic point overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and visit the small chapel of Nazare.
Continue on to Santarem where we will discover the church of the Holy Miracle related to what happened in Santarem in the XIV century. Possible private mass.
Return to Fatima for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: LISBON, WARSAW, BARBICAN SUN, 21 JUL 2024
After breakfast departure to Lisbon airport for flight to Warsaw.
Arrival in Warsaw airport; meet and greet with tour leader in the hall of the airport and transfer to the city centre.
Meet the guide and enjoy a visit of Warsaw, once called “Paris of the North”. The architecture changed a lot after the Second World War with communist type buildings, changing into modern economic trade centres of Warsaw.
Visit the old city (Stare Miasto) with the Royal castle and situated just next to it the New city (Nowe Miasto) with its oldest building the Barbican. There after Lazienki park (Park Lazienkowski) with the palace on the water (Palac na wodzie) as well as the monument for the famous Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin. Visit Nowy Swiat street, Krakowskie Przedmiescie street, St. Anna church and the University of Warsaw, birthplace of Madam Curie. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: CZESTOCHOWA, AUSCHWITS, KRAKOW MON, 22 JUL 2024
After breakfast departure for Czestochowa. Visit Czestochowa shrine, one of the most important places of the Catholic community in Poland. Each year over four million pilgrims visit this shrine. Continue on to Jasna Gora monastery where we can find the Black Madonna image which was so precious to the Poles that they gave her the title the Queen of Poland.
In the early afternoon departure to Auschwitz – Birkenau museum. The former concentration camp Auschwitz – Birkenau was one of the three camps which was part of a whole complex based near Auschwitz. The second part of the complex was an extermination camp based in Birkenau, the third part of the camps was the labor camp in Monowitz. Since 1979 the whole camp Is part of the UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites. Departure to the hotel in Krakow.

Day 8: LAGIEWNIKI TUE, 23 JUL 2024
After breakfast meet with your guide for a visit of Cracow Royal castle Wawel . (Visit of the cathedral and courtyard) as well as the Market Place, the cloth market, Saint Mary’s church, Jagiellonian University, Florian’s gate and the Barbican. In the early afternoon departure to Lagiewniki for a visit to the sanctuary situated in the buildings of the monastery of The Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy which was founded in 1891 as Lubomirski’s foundation for girls and women in need of moral renewal. Saint M. Faustina Kowalska lived and died in this Monastery in the period between world wars. Through Saint Faustina, Lord Christ gave the message of the Divine Mercy to the Church and to the whole world. Then a visit to John Paul II shrine in Lagiewniki.

Day 9: WADOWICE, WIELICZKA WED, 24 JUL 2024
After breakfast depart to Wadowice.
“It all started here in this town, in Wadowice, everything. Life started, and school started, studies started, and the theatre started, and the priesthood started.” This is how John Paul II remembered his hometown during his visit on 16 June 1999. It was his third and last visit to Wadowice. It is here that Karol Wojtyla was born on 18 May 1920, in a tenement house owned by a Jew named Chaim Balamut. In Wadowice one can find a number of other places connected with Karol Wojtyla such as school buildings, the “Sokol” building, where he attended his first theatre classes, the confectionery where he had his famous cream and many others.
In the early afternoon, departure for Kalwaria Zebrzydowska for a visit of the sanctuary, a place where pilgrims worship the Passion of Christ as well as pray to his mother, Mary. In the Baroque basilica of Saint Mary of Angels, administered by the Bernardines living in the nearby monastery, one can see the miraculous image of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Kalwaria. Kalwaria was established in 1600 after the example of the way of the cross in Jerusalem. Continue on to Wieliczka for a guided visit of salt mines built in the 13th century, it was one of the oldest salt mines in the world . The main attractions of the mine includes, the cathedral carved by local miners, three chapels and dozens of statues. Return to the hotel in Krakow.

After breakfast, check out of your accommodation transfer to the Warsaw Airport for your flight to Johannesburg.
