Day 1: JOHANNESBURG THU, 02 OCT 2025
Meet at O.R. Tambo International Airport at the check in counter for your flight to Rome. Please ensure that you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure.
Day 2: ST PAUL OUTSIDE THE WALLS FRI, 03 OCT 2025
Upon arriving at Rome Airport, you will be greeted by a local assistant who will assist you with your luggage and transfer arrangements. Then, enjoy a comfortable ride to the Basilica of St. Paul’s Outside the Walls, one of Rome’s most significant churches.
During your guided visit, explore the basilica’s history and architecture, where the remains of St. Paul are believed to be located. Admire the stunning mosaics and, if desired, arrange for a private Mass for a personal touch.
After your visit, you will be transferred to your accommodation to check in and unwind.

Day 3: ST. JOHN LATERAN / ST. MARY MAJOR / THE VATICAN SAT, 04 OCT 2025
After breakfast, enjoy a guided visit to two Major Basilicas. Start with the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, the seat of the papal throne and the oldest of the papal basilicas, followed by St. Mary Major, the largest church in Rome dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. You will also have the opportunity to celebrate a private Mass.
Next, embark on a panoramic coach tour, taking in iconic sights such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, before heading to the Vatican for a guided visit to St. Peter’s Basilica and the square.
After the tour, return to your accommodation to relax.

Day 5: LANCIANO / SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO MON, 06 OCT 2025
After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and transfer from Rome to San Giovanni Rotondo, the home of St. Padre Pio. En route, stop in Lanciano to visit the church of the Eucharistic Miracle, as well as the ruins of the ancient church where the miracle occurred. You will also have the opportunity to celebrate a private Mass if desired.
Upon arrival in San Giovanni Rotondo, check in to your accommodation.

Day 6: CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA DELLE GRAZIE TUE, 07 OCT 2025
After breakfast, celebrate a private Mass at the ancient Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Following the Mass, enjoy a guided visit to the new church and the convent where Padre Pio spent much of his mission. Highlights include the crucifix from which he received the stigmata in 1918 and the confessional where he spent countless hours guiding pilgrims on their journey toward God.
After the visit, you’ll have time at leisure for personal devotion or shopping.

After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and transfer to Monte Sant’Angelo for a visit to St. Michael’s Grotto.
Following the visit, continue to your accommodation in Assisi and check in.

Day 8: ASSISI / ST. FRANCIS BASILICA THU, 09 OCT 2025
After breakfast, meet your guide for a visit to the tomb of St. Francis in the basilica dedicated to him. Explore the charming hilltop town that retains the atmosphere of the early 1200s, the period when St. Francis began his ministry. Inside the impressive 13th-century basilica, you’ll find many of the saint’s possessions and a series of frescoes by Giotto depicting his life.
After visiting the ancient Roman temple, proceed to the Basilica of St. Clare to see the saint’s incorrupt body. St. Clare, the foundress of the Order of Poor Clares, followed St. Francis’s teachings by living a life of poverty and humility. You may also celebrate a private Mass in either the Basilica of St. Clare or St. Francis.
Enjoy some leisure time for private devotion, with the option to visit the Church of St. Damiano, where the crucifix spoke to St. Francis, accessible on foot or by taxi. Afterward, continue to your accommodation and check in.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided visit by a local friar to the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, built around the Porziuncola. Following the visit, celebrate a private Mass in the basilica.
In the early afternoon, transfer to Loreto for a guided visit of the Holy House, believed to have been miraculously transported by angels in 1291.
After the visit, you’ll have some leisure time before returning to Assisi for dinner.
